Trying Something New

I love my adjustable seatpost so I've been trying more downhill trails lately. Tried Boneshaker at the Cowboy Trails the other day and it sucked! I don't see how anyone can ride most of it. Went out to Bootleg today and rode the shuttle up to the top of the hill. (Now THATS the ticket...screw that pedaling all the way up there.) From the parking lot, it's still quite a little hike to the trailhead. I found myself walking quite a bit of the first section going down. Lots of loose stuff, off camber rocks and a REALLY scary drop. After that, it wasn't that bad. Some steep loose sections but I was able to ride most of it. I'd like to try a bike with more suspension to see if I could ride a few of the easier sections I walked.

  1. Give Boneshaker another chance. You'll get used to it the more that you ride it. Personally, I like riding trails that I can't ride clean the first time. I've ridden Bon Voyage twice now and I think that's a really good trail. You'll probably like riding it at lot more on your Trance. - Mark
